More than 40 acquisitions.
One clear vision.

Every compliance discipline your buildings need.
One partner who coordinates all of it.

PTSG was founded by Paul Teasdale in February 2007, beginning with a single Access & Safety contract and a belief that specialist building compliance could be done better.

The first client was Freshney Place shopping centre in Grimsby. The contract is still with PTSG today. It is a small detail in a much bigger story, but it says a great deal about the company PTSG set out to build: expert, dependable and designed for the long term.

A Different Kind of Specialist Business
At the time, many essential compliance services were delivered in isolation. Height safety, electrical testing, fire protection and water hygiene were often treated as separate jobs, with different suppliers, different standards and little connection between them.

PTSG was created around a different model. Central systems would provide governance, scheduling and clear compliance records. Directly employed specialists would focus on delivering the work. Customers would gain national reach, consistent standards and one accountable partner.

That model gave PTSG a platform to grow, but growth was never simply about becoming bigger. Since 2007, PTSG has acquired more than 40 specialist businesses, bringing new expertise, services and people into the Group while preserving the strengths that made each company successful. Each new discipline, business and capability has been added to solve a real problem for customers and make complex building compliance easier to manage.

The History Is Still Being Written

PTSG’s story is not a straight line from small company to large company. It is the story of a model being tested, strengthened and expanded without losing the idea at its centre: bring the right people, expertise and systems together, then do the job properly.

Freshney Place remains a customer. New apprentices are beginning careers at the Centre of Excellence. New specialist businesses are joining the Group. What started with one building in Grimsby now helps to keep hundreds of thousands of buildings, and the people inside them, safe.

One contract became a company. The commitment behind it never changed.
